55-year-old actor Matt Damon has been quite candid about his life over the past few years. While he was riding on the success of ‘The Odyssey’, the actor opened up about the changes in his life at the age of 50, noting that things are much clearer now and that he has recently been living a fulfilling life.

Matt talks about Damon Life after 50

The famous actor recently opened up about how his life changed after celebrating his milestone 50th birthday six years ago. While talking to PEOPLE, the actor shared that growing up made him recalibrate his priorities and gave him some much-needed clarity in life.He added, “You get to the other side of 50, and at least for me, I really start to feel that time is the most precious commodity.” I want to be intentional about what I do with it and make sure I’m spending it exactly where I want to spend it.” He also shared that he now has three main priorities in life: “my family and work,” as well as his non-profit organization that provides clean water to people living in poverty.In contrast, Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, share four daughters: Alexia (27), Isabella (20), Gia (17) and Stella (15). Speaking of her family, she shared that, “There are two older kids who are out of the nest and knowing how quickly these final years go by, we’re trying to be mindful of holding on to what we can.” He also shared that he also wants to grow his film company, which he co-founded with his close friend Ben Affleck.

Matt Damon admits he’s sobered up in his life

The actor revealed that things have slowed down a bit for him after turning 50. He added, “It’s a very full life. I think I’ve calmed down a bit and I’m not chasing anything. I just want to do things that I think are really cool on my own terms and on things that I really believe in.”He also added that as he got older, many things were now out of his control, which he had to accept. Damon shared that, “I try to think about what I can control and what I can’t. Instead of railing against the gods about what I can’t control.”
