In his social media post, Dinjith talked about the hard work, patience and uncertainty that shaped his career before his directorial debut.Sharing his thoughts, he wrote, “Today marks 7 years since the release of Kaxi: Amminipila. It took me almost nine years to reach my first film. Like every filmmaker I have had my own version of struggles, waits, hopes, confusions and small victories. But now when I look back, everything feels like a sweet memory.”Released in 2019, ‘Kakshi: Amminipilla’ stars Asif Ali, Basil Joseph, Farah Shibla and Ahmed Siddique in lead roles. The courtroom comedy-drama introduced Dinjith as a director and received positive response from audiences and critics alike.

He now follows them with the thriller Echo, starring Sandeep Pradeep in the lead role.Earlier speaking to ETimes, he said, “There’s no specific formula behind it — I choose animals only when the story really demands it. Even in my previous film Krishnam, the monkey was a natural part of the narrative. Similarly, in Echo, the presence of an animal species is essential to the story’s plot and emotional journey.”The film stars Vineet, Narayan, Binu Pappu and Ashokan in prominent roles. The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a dog groomer. As the investigation begins, the mystery deepens with several unexpected twists and revelations.
