According to a report in Cinema Express, Preity Mukhundhan said during a promotional event for her upcoming theatrical release ‘Idhayam Murali’, “Blast was an unconventional decision. Many actresses in my place would have been afraid to take on such a role.” He said that he had always wanted to play an action role and felt grateful for the love that the film received after its release. “I always wanted to do an action-oriented role, so I was extremely happy and grateful for the response from the audience after the release,” he added.Talking about the film, ‘Blast’ tells the story of a family of warriors who get caught up in a big conspiracy. They are forced to defend themselves and fight against a crime syndicate to survive.

During the event, Preity Mukhundhan was asked if her role in ‘Idhayam Murali’ would be similar to Blast, Preity said that the two characters are completely different.He said, “I had signed Idhayam Murali even before Blast and my character in this film is much more fun and will be a complete contrast to what the audience saw in Blast.”Directed by Akash Bhaskaran, ‘Idhayam Murali’ stars Atharva in the lead role. The film also stars Kaidu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Rakshaan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline. It is slated to release in theaters on July 10.
