What happened on the set of ‘Love and War’?
Carpenter Chandradhari Singh Yadav (42) reportedly died on June 17 while shooting for Prem and War at Royal Pump Studios near Film City in Mumbai. While the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had earlier said that Yadav died of electric shock, AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has now disputed that account. According to reports, Gupta alleged that a part of the set structure or the roof collapsed leading to the death of the worker and claimed that several other workers were injured in the incident.
An earlier accident on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali was mentioned
Gupta also cited past incidents allegedly linked to Bhansali’s productions, claiming that similar worker deaths were reported during the making of Devdas and Padmaavat. AICWA also alleged that film crews are routinely made to work in unsafe conditions and that inadequate safety oversight significantly increases the risk of set accidents. The production house is yet to issue an official response to AICWA’s claim.
