Paul Wesley took charge of his and Nina Dobrev’s strained relationship from the start. “I would take on a lot of responsibility because I was in some ugly, ugly, **pain,” she said during a podcast interview with ‘Call Her Daddy.’ Alex CooperBefore adding, “I was like, ‘I’m taking my acting seriously.'” Although there was never animosity between them, intense conflict was present in their presence. As for the other cast members, they were all ‘chill’.“It was nine other guys and me,” Wesley recalled of the audition round before signing on to the beloved series. “I remember all these guys kissing her ass. I was just like, ‘I’m not looking at her. I’m not even going to acknowledge her’ because I want to meet her first at the audition.” ‘Cause our scene was the first time we met.Despite his eccentric behavior, the chemistry between the two led to the popular series over the years. “We were these two characters, and it was magical. So even though we weren’t together, it kind of clicked,” she says, adding that their personal conflicts haven’t interfered with their careers.
