Jordan may be leaving the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but the debutants at the tournament left a lasting impression with a touching gesture off the pitch.After a 2-1 loss to Algeria in California, Jordan’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages officially ended. Nadhir Benbouali equalized in the 69th minute with a header from a corner before Amine Gouiri scored the winner eight minutes from time.The win kept alive Algeria’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages and gave them their first World Cup victory in 12 years.In Group J, defending champions Argentina are on top with six points from two games.
