Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding ceremony is not at Madison Square Garden; 'It's a bit of a surprise,' says invitee Anthony Zabin

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration may not have unfolded entirely in Madison Square Garden. After the AP confirmed that Taylor will officially marry her NFL beau, Travis, this weekend at Madison Square Garden, a new report suggests that the wedding ceremony and celebration could be held at two different locations.According to TMZ, the couple’s wedding is expected to take place elsewhere on July 3 at a separate location, with the larger celebration reportedly taking place at Madison Square Garden with around 999 guests. The report follows comments made by celebrity memorabilia collector Anthony Zabin during an appearance on TMZ Live, where he revealed he had received an invitation to the couple’s wedding.“I’m going… I’ve got an invitation,” Jabin said.Asked what the invitation revealed about the event, Jabin declined to reveal specifics, but said, “Well, I’m not allowed to reveal it, but it’s not what everyone thinks. It’s a bit of a surprise. They don’t want people to really know where it is.”While the publication previously reported that the reception will be held at Madison Square Garden, Zabin confirmed that the ceremony where the couple will say ‘I do’ will not be held at the iconic New York venue.Jabin also shared that he was invited by Swift herself and revealed their connection. “He was at the Super Bowl when I met him. He’s really sweet and a great person,” she said. While Jabin did not confirm if the wedding ceremony will take place elsewhere in New York City, TMZ notes that it appears likely given the reported timeline of events, saying the cocktail hour will begin at 4 pm ET.Winnick Productions, a company that produces red carpet events for Grammy and Tony Award shows and movie premieres, also applied for a permit to set up a canopy or tent outside the garden for an event involving 999 people.New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch declined to confirm Wednesday that Swift and Kells’ wedding will take place at MSG on Friday but said her department would have adequate resources for every major event over the weekend.“I’d be remiss not to mention the event we’re tracking at Madison Square Garden on Friday night,” Tisch said. “The NYPD will certainly provide a detailed explanation, but I’m not going to go into specifics about it at this point.”A law enforcement official briefed on security plans told the AP that the wedding will take place on Friday with a small rehearsal dinner Thursday night. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the incidents publicly.
