Veteran Tamil filmmaker and actor K Bhagyaraj died of a heart attack on Saturday. He was 73 years old. Just a few days before his death, Bhagyaraj made his final public appearance at the wedding of Avantika, daughter of Khushbu Sundar and Sundar C, in Goa. Videos of the event have now surfaced on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the late filmmaker at the star-studded celebration.A widely shared clip shows Bhagyaraj warmly greeting the Telugu superstar eternal life. The two exchanged smiles, shook hands and briefly chatted at the wedding venue.Following the news of Bhagyaraj’s death, Khushboo paid tribute to the filmmaker on Instagram by sharing a picture of him with a heartfelt message.“Rest in peace sir. The fun times I had with you will forever be etched in my memory. I will miss you.”The wedding was attended by several prominent names from the Indian film industry. Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna attended the celebrations with their wives, while Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor And Trisha Krishnan were also among the guests.But after the wedding, a post by Khushboo sparked criticism online. She shared a candid picture with her husband Sundar C, where the couple smiled at each other as they celebrated their daughter’s special day. After Bhagyaraj’s death some social media users questioned the timing of the post.A user commented, “Is this post needed now? When the state is mourning the death of Bhagyaraj sir.”Khushbu did not hold back in his reply. Defending her decision to celebrate her daughter’s wedding despite the tragic loss, she replied, “Then why follow me? Just to criticize? My daughter got married not even 48 hours ago. And Purnima who knows better? You or me?? If you find it difficult then unfollow me. I’m better off without people like you. I have every right to be happy.”
Khushbu and Sundar C’s elder daughter Avantika got married to Shravan Srinivasan in Goa on Thursday evening. The wedding turned out to be a huge gathering of film personalities from all industries with celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anil Kapoor, Amala Akkineni and Trisha Krishnan joining the celebrations.
