Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan The questioning was done by customs officials as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged luxury vehicle smuggling case. As per the latest reports, the actor and filmmaker have not yet requested the temporary release of the remaining vehicles.Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan appeared before officials on July 1 and was questioned for nearly four hours. According to The Hindu report, Dulquer is yet to request the temporary release of the remaining vehicles. They are seeking more information about luxury vehicles linked to the investigation. It has also been suggested that the actor may be asked to produce other high-end vehicles in his possession before the investigators.
Officials want details
Officials are also said to have questioned the ‘I Am Game’ actor regarding several luxury cars that are under investigation. He was earlier granted bail for two of the four vehicles seized during the investigation. The alleged smuggling of high-end vehicles is being investigated under Operation Numkur, a nationwide probe.According to Dulquer’s petition, one of the vehicles is a 2004 model Land Rover Defender. The petition states that the vehicle has been legally cleared through a bill of entry for house expenses filed as an ICRC consignee.
Dulquer Salmaan expressed concern about the campaign
In his plea, Dulquer Salmaan also said that the media coverage of the seizure had affected his image. “The impoundment was publicized in the media for specific reasons, and the vehicle was portrayed as if it was among some other vehicles used for smuggling, drug carrying, contraband and anti-state activities,” the petition said. This cast the petitioner in a bad light, affecting his reputation.“Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer Salman is gearing up for the release of ‘I Am Game’ directed by Nahas Hidayath.
