The court has extended the release date of ‘Dhruv Natachathiram’
In the latest hearing, the Madras High Court ‘Dhruv Nathachathiram’ has extended its release date till July 31. Earlier, the court had allowed the makers to release the film before June 15, while directing them to deposit the proceeds of the film in a separate bank account to settle the dues of creditors. As reported by Cinema Express, the court also observed that the makers can seek additional time if the movie is not released within the original deadline. Since the release did not happen as planned, Gautham MenonIts team approached the court again, after which Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy extended the time till the end of July.
Financial disputes delayed the film for many years
Another Gautham Menon film ‘Enai Nakki Payum Thota’ has started a legal battle over financial issues. Producer Madan, who held a 50 per cent stake in ‘Dhruv Natachathiram’, handed over his share to financiers as part of a financial arrangement. Later, the financiers moved the court to block the film’s release until their dues were paid, resulting in an interim stay. These controversies repeatedly pushed back the release, with the ambitious action thriller stalling despite being ready for audiences.

‘Dhruv Natachathiram’ features an ensemble cast including Ritu Verma, Parthiban Radhakrishnan, Radhika Sarathkumar and Simran, with music directed by Harris Jayaraj.
