GV Prakash Reveals Hindi Movie Plans, Composer Shares Excitement About First Full Hindi Album 'Noi Naveli'

After a successful career in Tamil and Telugu cinema, GV Prakash Kumar is now gearing up for an important new chapter in Bollywood. The composer has taken charge of the complete soundtrack of ‘Noyi Naveli’, produced Anand El Rai and directed by Balaji Mohan. Although GV Prakash has earlier contributed to Hindi cinema with projects like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, he says this is the first time he is composing an entire album for a Hindi film. The project has already generated interest among music lovers who are eager to hear his work in new markets.

Composer says ‘Noy Naveli’ song is in safe hands

Speaking to Variety India about the project, GV Prakash expressed confidence in the film and its music. “I had earlier worked in Gangs of Wasseypur because of my friendship with Anurag Kashyap, but ‘Nayi Naveli’ is my first full-length Hindi film album,” he said. He added, “I am composing all the songs for the film, and I believe they will be very beautiful.” The composer was also full of praise for the lead actress Yami Gautam. “Yami emotes brilliantly on screen. While an actor can emote naturally, a composer feels confident that the lyrics are safe,” he explains.

GV Prakash believes that music connects beyond language

GV Prakash also shared his thoughts on working in different film industries. According to him, composing music for Hindi films is no different from composing music for Tamil or Telugu films. He said, “Every film is a challenge for me. Language doesn’t change my perspective.” “I compose every soundtrack as if it were my first project.” The composer also spoke about the importance of traditional film songs. “Lip-synced songs have a special visual appeal. I strongly believe they help a song connect with the audience and become a blockbuster,” he comments.

GV Prakash responds to the fee rumours

The composer also talks about frequent discussions about the remuneration he takes for films. “People often assume that I charge a lot, but that’s not true,” he said. “My remuneration depends on the scale of the project. For small films I charge accordingly and for big productions, the budget is naturally different.” Looking back on his nearly two-decade career, GV Prakash says he still approaches every song with renewed energy. Having already composed music for more than 120 films, he hopes to continue the journey and create many more memorable soundtracks in the years to come.
