Citroen released the next teaser of the updated electric hatchback. The updated model is expected to be called the eC3X, following the revised naming strategy that the French brand has already introduced on models such as the C3X, Aircross X and Basalt X.The latest teaser suggests that the electric hatchback will get a noticeable styling update. While the overall silhouette is expected to remain familiar, the facelifted model will get a redesigned front bumper and a silver slider. Citroen is also expected to upgrade the lighting package by introducing LED DRLs and LED fog lights, replacing the simpler setup offered on the current eC3.Other exterior changes may include a fresh set of two-tone alloy wheels and revised exterior rear-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The cabin could also benefit from a few feature additions. The car manufacturer may offer leather upholstery for the steering wheel and parts of the dashboard along with ambient lighting. Features such as automatic climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, fast charging USB Type-C ports and auto-dimming inside the rearview mirror are also expected to be added. The existing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to be carried over. It is expected to continue to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Higher-spec variants can additionally get a 360-degree camera and a new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.Under the skin, the updated electric hatchback is not expected to receive any major mechanical revisions. The eC3X will likely retain the existing 29.2kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 57bhp and 143Nm of torque. Citroen currently claims a range of around 320 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 107 km/h.Once launched, the facelifted Citroen eC3X will continue to compete in India’s growing mass-market electric vehicle space, taking on rivals like the Tata Punch EV and the newly facelifted Tiago EV.
