About Shraddha Kapoor’s film ‘Itha’
‘Itha’ is based on the life of renowned Marathi lavani dancer Bithabai Narayangaonkar, who is considered one of the most influential figures in Maharashtra’s folk theater tradition. Known for his acclaimed lavani and tamasha performances, Narayangaonkar enthralled generations of audiences and was honored with the President of India Medal in 1957 and 1990 in recognition of his contribution to traditional folk art.
‘Etha’ Cast and Release Date
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in important roles.The project marks Kapoor’s reunion with producer Dinesh Vijan after their successful collaboration in the ‘Stri’ franchise.
