Soon after, Bagchi’s Instagram post appears to have been deleted, as it is no longer visible on his profile.Responding to the allegations, a YRF spokesperson insisted that the Saiyara title track was a collaborative effort between the three composers—Tanishq Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami—and that royalty payments have been made as per the agreements signed by all parties.“Saiyara title track was a beautiful collaboration between three composers (Faheem Abdullah and Tanishq Bagchi with Arslan Nizami). We are deeply grateful for their brilliance in creating a timeless song that has touched a million hearts. Royalty for the title track has been shared and will be shared equally by YRF, YRF has agreed with the three composers, YRF has agreed to all the contracts. The collaborators have agreed to their Receivables, as per the contract, are all within mutually agreed terms and timing,” the spokesperson said.Hours after YRF released its statement, Bagchi’s Instagram post was no longer available on his account. The composer has not publicly commented on why it was removed.Earlier on July 18, Bagchi shared an emotional note explaining why he felt disappointed with the financial results of the song despite its massive popularity. Claiming that ₹8 lakh in royalties was still pending, a reflection of the effort he had invested in making the track.“This was my first film with @yrfentertainment @yrfmusic… I agreed to everything because I believe in music. I gave this song everything I had. From production to working with lyricists and singers, recording, vocal tuning, sound, arrangement, every detail is important to me. I treated it like my own,” he wrote.He also claimed that he spent all the money he received from the production house on the making of the song. “Whatever YRF gave me, the entire nominal amount was used for live and mixing… what was left was zero, yes. That’s what I earned from such a big song,” he added.Bagchi also questioned the royalty amount reflected in his statement. “The most distressing thing is that, as per the royalty statement, I am yet to receive just ₹8 lakh in royalties for a song that has millions of streams and views across platforms. Honestly, with the amount of work, time and passion I put into this song, ₹8 lakh seems like peanuts. I truly believed that a song that reached this scale would earn much more,” he further claimed.Clarifying that his post was not intended to seek sympathy, the composer said he only wanted to highlight his efforts to make successful music and why he was disappointed by the results. “From now on, I will only work with producers and managers who value creativity, integrity and the people who make their music,” he wrote.He ended his note by reflecting loyalty and expressing gratitude to just a few people involved in the film. “One thing I have also learned is that sometimes you give your all to people, and when success comes, they forget who stood by them. However, I have left the rest to God. Time tells every story, and action settles every account.
