Citroen India has launched the new Citroen eC3X electric hatchback in the Indian market. The Citroen eC3X gets exterior and interior tweaks, along with added comfort features, and now gets even more variety. Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan, which brings the car’s purchase price down to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage comes down to Rs 2.26 per km. The 2026 Tata Tiago EV is offered in three variants – Smart, Pure plus and Creative plus priced between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors is also offering the Tiago EV under its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) programme, bringing the car’s entry price down to Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers opting for the scheme are required to pay an additional Rs 2.6 per kilometer for battery usage.2026 Citroen eC3X vs Tata Tiago EV: Battery, range The 2026 eC3X continues to get a 29.2kWh battery pack and delivers a claimed MIDC-certified driving range of 325km – an improvement of 79km over the previous version. Drive is sent to the front wheels via an electric motor with 57 hp and 143 Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 107 km/h. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 percent to 100 percent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes with an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can boost the battery level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 57 minutes. The 2026 Tiago EV has two battery pack options – 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The 24kWh battery variant produces 75bhp and 114Nm, while the 19.2kWh version produces 61bhp and 110Nm. The claimed MIDC range for the larger battery has increased from 293km to 285km, while the smaller battery variant now offers 226km from 223km. According to Tata Motors, the C75’s real-world range is estimated at 205-215 km for the 24 kWh version and 160-170 km for the 19.2 kWh model.Tata claims that the updated Tiago EV offers 40 per cent faster charging speed than before, allowing it to add up to 100 km of range in 18 minutes. The hatchback also supports 30 kW DC fast charging, which allows both battery packs to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes.
