Kia India has launched the Syros EV with prices starting at Rs 13.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Syros EV will go on sale at Kia dealerships in India from July 30.The Syros EV is available with two battery pack options. The entry-level 42 kWh version starts at Rs 13.49 lakh, while the larger 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant starts at Rs 16.99 lakh, both ex-showroom. The X-Line ER is spread over seven variants with the top-of-the-line X-Line ER priced at Rs 19.99 lakh.It is available with a 42kWh battery that offers an ARAI-certified range of 443km and a larger 51.4kWh battery that delivers a claimed range of 526km. Power comes from a 171bhp front-mounted electric motor, while the larger battery variant can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds. Kia also claims a DC fast charge of 39 minutes for a 10-80 percent charge using a 100kW charger. The SUV also gets EV-specific features like a 10.8kW AC charger, battery conditioning and regenerative braking with i-Pedal mode, Vehicle Charging (V2L) and Battery Heating System.The highlight of the Syros EV is its ownership package. Kia offers a 15-year, unlimited-kilometre Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty, along with a guaranteed buyback program that promises up to 80% resale value after three years on initial terms. The company has also introduced a Battery-A-Service (BaaS) program that allows customers to buy the car from Rs 7.99 lakh with battery charges starting at Rs 3.3 per kilometer. In addition, the My Comfort e-Plus package includes maintenance, extended warranty and roadside assistance.Inside, the Syros EV model gets a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 5-inch climate control display. Other highlights include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 connected features, OTA updates, Harman Kardon eight-speaker audio system, ventilated front and rear seats, panoramic sunroof, 4-way power driver’s seat, ambient lighting, smart dash cam and front 16kt. On the safety front, it is equipped with Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous functions, six airbags, ESC, hill start assist, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor and a total of 25 standard safety features.
