Reacting to the audience response to Ahmed Khan’s ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, Tushar described the reception as phenomenal and rewarding.Speaking to Mid-Day, he said, “It’s really overwhelming but very gratifying. People love the characters, and they keep going back to see it. It is spreading like wildfire.”Reflecting on sharing screen space with a huge cast of 34 actors, Tushar said the experience felt more like a reunion than work.The actor, who has been part of blockbuster ensemble franchises including ‘Golmaal’, ‘Dhamal’ and ‘Welcome’, admits that working with several stars naturally comes with expectations.“You’re not afraid of being overshadowed. But you have anxiety about standing out. You want to be noticed and get what you deserve,” she told the publication.

Looking back on his silver jubilee in the film industry, Tushar describes his career as a journey full of valuable lessons. Kapoor admits that he misses the way films felt in the early years of his career.During the same interview, Kapoor said, “What I miss in that era is that you lived the whole process of releasing a film. Whether it’s a success or a failure, you have to experience the journey and see it properly.”The actor also revealed that watching his father Jeetendra navigate both success and failure prepared him for the unpredictable nature of the film business, “I’ve seen my father’s journey go up and down and up and down. So I don’t get too hung up on success, and when I’m not disappointed, it’s because I know that’s part of the profession,” he adds. I’m just focused on work. What I do in my personal life, how I am in my personal life, shouldn’t be anyone’s business. It was tough, but I had to stop that noise. Over the years, I’ve learned that,” he said.Recalling the unusual advice she received early in her career, Tushar revealed that she was often encouraged to maintain a public image outside of her acting work.“I was told, ‘You have to act when you’re not acting,'” says Kapoor. But I could not deal with it. I used to ignore it and just concentrate on my work.”He also points out that the conversation around insiders versus outsiders often ignores the pressures faced by film family actors.“They say outsiders are under a lot of pressure. But even as an insider, I was told you have to be a certain way, go to parties, be in the news. So this pressure is for us as well,” he added.
Tusshar Kapoor is grateful for the ‘Golmaal’ franchise
The actor also looked back fondly on the Golmaal franchise, which he had previously described as the “lifeline” of his career. Tushar credits director Rohit Shetty for believing in him and allowing him to create his unique character throughout the film. He is excited about returning and reuniting with the team for the upcoming fifth installment of the comedy franchise.
