Renault India today announced the start of exports of the Indian-made Renault Duster SUV with the first batch of 750 units leaving Chennai for South Africa. The company said the delivery marks the start of an export program for the next-generation Duster and plans to expand exports to additional international markets in the coming months. The milestone also highlights the growing importance of India in Renault Group’s global manufacturing and export operations.The new Renault Duster is offered in five variants – original, evolution, techno, techno plus and iconic, priced between Rs 10.29 lakh and Rs 18.09 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). 10.29 lakh was applicable for customers who pre-booked their car till March 2026; thereafter, the standard price now starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Duster is offered with three engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Another engine is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol mated to a 6-speed DCT or 6-speed manual with 163bhp and 280Nm of torque. There’s also a larger 1.8-liter hybrid gasoline engine with 109 horsepower, paired with a 49 horsepower electric motor and a 20 horsepower hybrid starter generator (HSG) paired with a 1.4 kWh (280 V) battery. Together, this configuration provides a combined system output of 160 hp and 172 Nm.In terms of design, Renault has introduced India-specific design changes to the new generation Duster while retaining the general silhouette of the third generation global model. The India-spec SUV gets redesigned headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights that double as turn indicators. It features a front bumper that uses silver surrounds and pixel-style fog lights, along with a grille with prominent Duster badging replacing the Renault logo.From the side, the Duster carries black cladding on the wheel arches and lower body, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and functional roof rails. At the rear, triangular taillights are joined by an LED light bar, which is not seen on the global version. Additional changes include a roof-mounted spoiler, textured number plate casing and a black rear bumper with silver accents.Moving inside, the Duster’s interior has been extensively redesigned for the Indian market. The India-specific version features an all-new dashboard with a dual-screen layout, soft-touch surfaces and revised trim elements.
