Cruise’s endorsement comes just ahead of ‘The Odyssey”s theatrical release. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film follows Homer’s ancient Greek epic and stars Damon as Odysseus, the legendary king of Ithaca, who embarks on his perilous journey to reunite with his wife Penelope and son Telemachus after the Trojan War.The star-studded musical also features Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Travis Scott and Charlize Theron, among others. Prior to its release, the film received widespread critical acclaim, holding a 96 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of release.
