Disha also recalled her experience filming with Spacey, praising his unique actor-centric directing style and collaborative morning workshops.

Speaking to Variety India, Disha said, “He (Kevin Spacey) is amazing. Being an actor, he understands his actors. He is one of the best actors in the world. He gives his actors a lot of room to experiment. He asks us to draw from our own experiences. We are encouraged to think of questions like, ‘How would you react in this situation’? ‘Would you cry?’ ‘What do you feel?’ ‘How passionate would you be?’ Every morning, he would sit with us and walk us through the scenery. I found that really special. I don’t think I’ve done that with any manufacturer in the past. It’s also like understanding the character and taking some responsibility to deliver it.”

The actress also spoke about her journey in Hollywood, highlighting how logistical aspects like representation, accessibility, auditions and visas play a vital role in the process. He says, “A lot depends on accessibility. The West focuses too much on audition templates. You have to audition for certain things. It depends on how accessible it is to you and who you sign up with. Destiny also plays a role. Sometimes, they just see your work and offer you projects and auditions. It also depends on visa and other logistics. It’s all very technical. At the end of the day it is a different country. But you must attend. You cannot sit here and crack roles there. You can audition from here, but it’s better to go there, stay a while and work on it. It’s the same with any country.”

The film had a private premiere in Berlin in February this year, although a worldwide release date is still awaited.
