Nissan has revealed the claimed fuel efficiency figures of its newly launched Tekton SUV ahead of customer deliveries scheduled to begin on July 20. Priced between Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 18.59 lakh, the mid-size SUV is available in two turbo-petrol and three engine combination options in the ex-showroom.The most fuel-efficient version of the Tekton is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox that delivers a claimed mileage of 19.41 kmpl. Buyers opting for the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine will get a fuel efficiency of 18.5 kmpl mated to the 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, while the same engine gets 17.8 kmpl mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.Under the hood, the Tekton shares its engine options with the Renault Duster. The entry-level 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces 100bhp and 166Nm of torque and is currently only offered with a 6-speed manual transmission.For those looking for more performance, Nissan also offers a 1.3-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.The Tekton was recently launched in India with entry prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom. In the Indian market, the Nissan Tekton enters one of the most competitive SUV segments in the country.
