In addition to the character’s appearance and powers raising eyebrows online, netizens have also noted his distinctive new and ‘unfamiliar’ accent as he returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a super villain.

The trailer begins with Doctor Doom delivering a chilling warning, “Before this day is done, we must face an unimaginable decision.” Many viewers have noticed that Downey Jr. seems to have significantly changed both his tone and speaking style for this new role which will be nothing compared to his previous turn as Tony Stark.

Fans are divided over RDJ’s new voice
