Dr. Doom’s dialogue is attention-grabbing

The trailer begins with Doctor Doom delivering a chilling warning, “Before this day is done, we must face an unimaginable decision.” Many viewers have noticed that Downey Jr. seems to have significantly changed both his tone and speaking style for this new role which will be nothing compared to his previous turn as Tony Stark.

Fans are divided over RDJ’s new voice

The performance drew mixed reactions across social media. While some fans were immediately impressed by how different the actor sounded, others weren’t convinced. One user wrote, “RDJ’s Dr. Doom voice sounds amazing. Don’t even know he’s under the mask.” Others echoed that sentiment, praising Downey Jr. for keeping the character away from Iron Man.Not everyone was convinced, however.Another fan commented, “RDJ’s doom voice isn’t as bad as I thought it would be but he shouldn’t have done it in the first place.”However, there were others who were skeptical about the pronunciation and recasting.

‘Tropic Thunder’ clip goes viral

Adding fuel to the buzz surrounding the actor’s new accent, fans have resurrected a 2008 interview from the promotional tour for ‘Tropic Thunder,’ claiming Downey Jr. experimented with the accent nearly two decades ago. The clip, taken from the film’s popular unscripted dialogue featuring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller and Jack Black, shows the star speaking with an exaggerated European-style accent that many now believe resembles his Doctor Doom voice.During the interview, Downey Jr. joked, “Tony Stark, the most famous mass murderer,” prompting laughter from his co-stars. The video quickly spread across social media, with one fan jokingly posting, “This must have convinced Kevin Feige to cast RDJ as Dr. Doom.”

MCU fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of Doctor Doom

Despite divided opinions about the trailer, CGI, VFX and other details, expectations for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are sky high. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the blockbuster is expected to bring together heroes from across the MCU, the X-Men and Fantastic Four, the new Avengers, Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, as well as Steve Rogers and Thor returning to the multiverse saga for its epic conclusion.‘Avengers: Doomsday’ hits theaters on December 18, where it will clash with ‘Dune: Part Three’ at the box office.
