She said she had to rely on a few trusted friends as she struggled to regain access to her own home.“When I came back to India, I didn’t have my own house. I stayed in a hotel owned by a friend for 10 days whom I asked to give me a discount. I stayed until I went to court and got a restraining order to enter my own house. As parents and my brother were not there, I found comfort in 1-2 friends.”The actor shared that several people extended their support during this difficult phase, including a director, a producer and a colleague of his late father. However, he said that Preity Jintai stood by him when he needed someone the most.“Above all, Preity Zinta. That woman stood like a rock. She was the only one who understood how broken I was. Thanks to her, I went to Dharamshala and Ma Baglamukhi Temple in Ujjain. When I went to Ujjain, I realized that returning to my Sanatan Dharma and my roots was my true calling.”Selena also reflects on a series of personal losses that have profoundly affected her life. He spoke of losing both his parents, the heartbreaking death of one of his twin sons and the pain of seeing his brother in prison. Looking back on what he endured, the actor said he often felt as if he was “living a script I didn’t sign up for.”Holding back tears during the conversation, Selina admits there are nights when she wakes up overwhelmed by the weight of her experience and wonders how much more she can bear. Still, she said she somehow musters the strength to move forward, accepting what’s beyond her control and facing each new day with resilience.Meanwhile, Selena is embroiled in a legal dispute with her estranged husband, Peter Hough. According to Mumbai-based law firm Semwal & Co., Peter and his father, DI Wolfgang J. Haug, have each sent separate legal notices to the actor, alleging that he made defamatory statements in interviews and on social media amid their ongoing divorce and child custody proceedings.The notices deny allegations of abuse, harassment and intimidation made by Selena and also object to his repeated public references to their three children. They want the allegedly defamatory content removed, a public apology and have warned of possible civil and criminal action if their demands are not met.Earlier, the Mumbai Police An FIR has reportedly been registered against Peter based on Selena’s complaint. The actor has also reportedly initiated proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and has sought maintenance and compensation. She also alleged that she has been denied access to their children despite a joint custody arrangement.Selena and Peter tied the knot in 2010. The couple have three children after losing one of their twin boys to a heart attack in 2017. Their divorce and child custody case is currently being heard in Austria.On the professional front, Celina is gearing up to make a comeback to Hindi cinema with her directorial *Sister Nivedita* Ram Kamal Mukherjee. Speaking about the film, he told HT City, “Working with a visionary filmmaker like Ram is like no other acting experience for me. With directors of his caliber, you don’t just play a character, you surrender yourself to become the soul of the era.”
