‘Dutton Ranch’ Season 1 Episode 9 Recap: ‘El Padrino’
The final episode of season 1 finally revealed the secret mission. Beth and Rip discover that the 10 Petal Ranch has been involved in a massive drug smuggling operation for fifteen years. Cattle transported from Mexico were used as drug mules, with fentanyl hidden inside them. 10 The medicines are taken out and distributed when the cattle come in the petals.When a new shipment arrives at the beginning of the episode, Rip and Beth decide to investigate. Rob-Will tried to stop them, but Rip sent him away and retrieved Rob-Will’s secret tally book which revealed which cattle were carrying the drugs. Beth and Rip drove several cattle to the Dutton Ranch, where they found approximately 3.5 kilos of fentanyl, worth approximately $2 million.
Tragic deaths and cliffhangers
The finale delivered a shocking death that changed everything. Joaquin, following Mariano’s orders, shoots and kills his brother Rob-Will. The scene was especially devastating for Rob-Will’s daughter Oriana, who had a touching father-daughter talk with him moments earlier.Mariano Reyes, the real mastermind behind the operation, eventually emerged as the central threat. The episode revealed that Mariano orchestrated everything from Mexico, where he served as a powerful cartel leader. When Beth gets a call from Mariano at the end of the episode, he delivers the biggest bombshell of the season: he’s kidnapped Carter, Beth and Rip’s son.
