One contestant who stood out was Kapil Dinkar, a constable of the Uttar Pradesh Police, who took to the stage not just in his uniform, but with a sharp sense of humour, musical flair and unflinching confidence.

The moment Kapil stepped on the stage, he quipped, “Phir se shuru kar diya yeh? Pichli bar chain na pada band karwa ke?” (You started it again? Didn’t you get enough peace of mind after stopping it last time?)His comment immediately caught the eye. Intrigued, the comedian asked if he was dressed as a cop just for the performance or was actually part of the force. Kapil confirmed that he was actually a working UP police constable and joined the show to sing a song.

Kapil joined Uttar Pradesh Police as a constable in 2021. Reflecting on his journey, he revealed that his mother had always dreamed of him becoming a police officer and he felt deep pride in realizing that dream.
Music remains Kapil Dinkar’s true passion
Although policing is his profession, music remains his true passion. “Main department ka eklauta banda hun jisco music karne ki pramni hai,” Kapil said, visibly enthralling the panel during his appearance.

Apart from his police work and passion for music, Kapil is also a published author. He shared on the show that he has three books to his name and is currently working on eight more. During the time and conversation with the panel, he also touched on the Mission Shakti Kendra initiative, praising it as an effective program. When asked by Time if he ever felt fear of crime in Uttar Pradesh, Kapil confidently replied, “Nahi, humen bahut achi shandwadi di hui hai aur us par hum log bahut acha kam vi kar rahe hai.”“(No, we’ve been given a lot of freedom, and we’re doing very well with it.)

In an interesting coincidence, Kapil himself gave the same score. Adding laughter, when Samay tried to set the party popper, it wouldn’t go off. He joked, “It’s not the police who are blasting in front of the car.” Kapil won Rs 1 lakh for his performance, plus an additional Rs 50,000 for answering a bonus question correctly.
