Aamir Khan is all set to marry girlfriend Gauri Spratt on July 5, marking his third marriage. After the lavish celebrations he hosted for the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan Productions, which was launched with Ashutosh Gowariker’s acclaimed 2001 film ‘Lagaan’, the actor this time opted for a private and understated event.Aamir and Gauri will register their marriage at the actor’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The couple is expected to hold a small wedding ceremony in the first half of the day on July 5, with only family members and a close circle of friends in attendance, Screen reported. The event is expected to be particularly meaningful as all four children of Aamir and Gauri’s previous marriage are said to play a role in the celebrations. This includes Aamir’s children, actors too Junaid Khan and entrepreneur Ira Khan, from his first marriage to Reena Dutt, his son Azad from his marriage to filmmaker Kiran Rao and Gauri’s son from his previous marriage.Aamir and Gauri first crossed paths in Bengaluru through the actor’s cousin Nujhat Khan. After dating for about a year, Aamir introduced Gauri to the media as his partner ahead of his 60th birthday celebrations in March last year. Since then the couple has been living together at his Bandra home.Last month, Aamir confirmed that he will marry Gauri on July 5.Before joining Aamir in Mumbai, Gauri worked with a leading hair care brand in Bangalore. He is now associated with Aamir Khan Productions and assists the actor in the work of the production house.Earlier when asked if marriage was on the cards, Aamir responded with his trademark humor, “Is Umar mein shaadi karna mujhe shobha na deta (It doesn’t feel right to get married at my age),” before adding that he now feels very “settled” with Gauri.
