The performance reminded him of the numerous stage shows where he watched his father entertain audiences with timeless hits.During the episode, Sumit also shared a heartwarming anecdote involving his father and elder brother. ‘Eina Meena Deka’ Bhandar brings back memories
Speaking about the performance, Sumit revealed that “Ena Meena Deka” always reminded him of his growing up years. He said the song was a regular feature at Kishore Kumar’s live concerts and instantly took him back to those special moments.Sharing the memory, Sumit said, “My memory of this song, Bhakpan mein bhaiya aur baba both used to perform this song on stage. So I remember this song. Or ek gan tha, ‘Ek chatur nar,’ jismen it wasn’t planned, after last me jugalbandi me baba bhaiya ke apar bhaiya I could never stand. Ki aise ho gaya ki bhaiya har gaye main stage pe jake dono ke pair Bouth Jata tha. This song, especially ‘Ena Meena Deka’, was sung by Baba in all his stage performances. Apne Bozhat Bal Gaya Hai, Maja Aa Gaya.” (“This song brings back so many childhood memories for me. When I was a kid, both my elder brother and my father used to perform this song on stage, so whenever I hear it, I remember those days. Another song was ‘Ek Chatur Nar.’ It wasn’t planned, but during the final dueling, my father would climb on my brother’s shoulders. I was always by my brother’s side and couldn’t accept that he was a loser. So I ran on stage and climbed on top of both of them. ‘Eena Meena Deka’ is a song that my father used to perform in almost every stage show. You sang beautifully. I really enjoyed listening to it.”)

Sumit’s memoir also included an interesting behind-the-scenes moment associated with another iconic song called ‘Ek Chatur Naar’. According to him, Kishore Kumar would sometimes ride on his elder brother’s shoulders during the final juggling of performances. As a child, Sumit admits that he could not accept seeing his brother “lose” in prank competitions. He would run onto the stage and climb over them both, creating an unscripted family moment that delighted the audience.
