Being the daughter of a renowned screenwriter Amanullah KhanBest known for writing Mughal-e-Azam, Zeenat says she never grew up around Hindi films, nor did she aspire to be an actor. Instead, he hoped to continue his education and possibly pursue an academic career abroad. However, I did not live with my father. My parents separated when I was two years old, and I was brought up by my mother. I wasn’t even sure if I would stay in India or join films. It was just luck. It was just a step away from the modeling world, and I really believed I had a future in academia. I was looking forward to further studies.” It was very fleeting.”He also revealed how detached he was from Hindi cinema despite his family background. “I was not familiar with Hindi cinema. I knew nothing about Hindi cinema despite my father being a writer. It was a new world.”Zeenat was just 20 years old when he returned to India from California.
