Episode 10 picks up from last week’s surprising cliffhanger, where Tabitha and Jade sneak into the chamber under the bottle tree and collect the children’s bones. However, uprooting the bottle tree starts misery for the humans, as the monsters take control of the town, according to TV Insider. Brave at heart, Jade proceeds to sacrifice herself so Tabitha can get away with the bones. The plan quickly falls apart after Sofia’s interference causes the stairs to collapse. Deeper in the tunnel, they try to contact Boyd by radio waves, who finds them with Fatima and Alice.Meanwhile, after drinking the herbal mixture, Fatima’s heart rate dropped. She has a vision of entering Smiley’s clinic, which quickly becomes a reality. The creature attacks Mariel, who is present with Fatima, and cuts her in half. Fatima let out an inhuman roar with great struggle.Although Fatima is physically associated with the dark side, as she mentions feeling ‘cold’ and the transformation occurs before the tree falls in the forest, she is emotionally human. He buys time for Tabitha, Jade, Boyd, and Alice by fighting off the tunnel creatures with his new monster-like powers.
