According to the Deccan Chronicle, speaking about the incident, he said, “There has to be a line. A funeral is a farewell, not a photo opportunity. At some point, sympathy must outweigh content.”On Monday, Radhika also shared an emotional tribute to K Bhagyaraj on X (earlier on Twitter). He said the funeral, which was supposed to be a quiet send-off, turned into a circus because of the crowd and continuous recording.

Remembering her long-time friend, Radhika wrote, “Final farewell, for 50 years of a special friendship, a great creator, an evolved writer, a person who drew wonderful boundaries in cinema, a person with whom I laughed a lot, wonderful work, who always stood by my family with his quiet loyalty. A well-wisher for his friends and a well-wisher for family members. K Bhagyaraj died of a heart attack in Chennai on June 27. He was 73 years old. His last rites were held with full state honors at the Besant Nagar Crematorium on June 28. Many actors and technicians from the Tamil film industry attended the funeral to pay their last respects.
