Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli is working on his next big project ‘Baranasi’ with a star cast. Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithiraja Sukumaran. The film is currently in the production stage and it seems that the makers have around 80 days left for the shoot.

80 days left for the shooting of ‘Varanasi’

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the ‘Baahubali’ director attended the release event of ‘RRR’ in France. During his talk he talked about the progress of ‘Varanasi’. He said that a small part of the shooting is left before the work of the film is completed.Rajamouli said, “My producer is still there, so he won’t let me reveal too much. I can say that we have finished the major action scenes of the film and we have smaller portions which will be finished in 80 days.”

Huge ‘Varanasi’ shooting schedule

On the other hand, a few days ago, a mid-day report claimed that the team is gearing up for a new shooting schedule from July 7 in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu is expected to shoot with around 3,500 junior artists. The team has been preparing for this series for several weeks. The battle sequence is considered to be one of the biggest scenes designed by SS Rajamouli. The scenes that will be shot in Hyderabad are just the beginning of this huge sequence.

About ‘Varanasi’

Talking about ‘Varanasi’, the film is said to be a time traveling action adventure film, which follows a Shiva devotee who travels through time to find a lost cosmic artifact with great powers.Mahesh Babu played the role of Rudra in the film. Priyanka Chopra Jonas played the role of Mandakini Prithviraj Sukumaran Aquarius will be seen as the main antagonist.‘Varanasi’ is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
