The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the seat allocation results of the second round of JoSAA consultation 2026. Candidates who participated in the consultation process can now check their seat allotment status by visiting the official website josaa.nic.in.To check the allotment results, candidates need to log in using the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main application number, password and security code.The JoSAA counseling process is applicable for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government-aided Technical Institutes (GFTIs) across the country.Candidates who secure a seat in the second round must complete the online reporting process, including fee payment, document upload and answering any queries, by 5pm on July 3, 2026. Those who fail to complete these formalities within the deadline may lose their allocated seats.

Candidates can check their allotment status by following these simple steps:

  • Please visit the JoSAA official website.
  • Click the link “2026 Second Round Seat Allocation Results”.
  • Enter your JEE Main application number, password and security code.
  • Submit details.
  • Check your seat assignment results.
  • Download and print out for future reference.

  • Accept assigned seat.
  • Pay the seat acceptance fee.
  • Upload the required files.
  • Answer any questions asked during the document verification process.

The fee payment issue resolution tool will be available until 5pm on July 4, 2026.

Freeze, float and slide options

After accepting the allocated seat, candidates can choose one of the following options:

  • freeze: Accept the assigned seat and not participate in subsequent rounds.
  • float: Accept your current seat but still qualify for better seats in subsequent rounds.
  • Slideshow: Accept the assigned college while retaining eligibility to study better courses in the same college.

Candidates who wish to withdraw from the consultation process can do so between July 1, 2026 (10am) and July 3, 2026 (5pm).Candidates are advised to complete all necessary formalities within the stipulated time and regularly check the JoSAA official website for the latest updates regarding the counseling process.
