Amanda Battula has announced her departure from ‘Summer House’ after serving as a fixture on the reality television series since its 2017 premiere. The Bravo personality will not return when production begins on Season 11, ending his decade-long association with the show.According to E! News, Batula’s exit ends a challenging year marked by personal turmoil and cast splits. She and Kyle Cook, whom she married in 2021, confirmed their separation in January after four years of marriage. Subsequently, on March 31, Batula revealed in a joint Instagram post that she had begun dating costar West Wilson – a relationship that quickly garnered fan-made “#scamanda” and quickly shattered the cast’s established friendship.
West Wilson Early exit from the show
Wilson, who joined ‘Summer House’ in 2024, before Batula left the series. His own departure was confirmed on June 15, and he addressed the decision during an appearance on the Broadcast Boys podcast on June 24. “I wanted to say it myself,” Wilson said of his departure announcement. “But it’s true. But in their defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer,” he added, acknowledging the tension that would characterize the production.
The feud reached its most visible level during the show’s reunion special, where Batula’s former best friend Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson before their controversial 2023 split, confronted the couple directly. Miller, now co-hosting ‘Love Island USA Aftersun’ in Fiji, expressed her frustration with the situation during the June 9 episode.“I didn’t realize I’d be sitting here thinking you’d be my ex-king,” Miller told Batula. “He wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little words. And I hope it works, because he’s with you to hate me,” she continued, revealing her perspective on Wilson’s motivation for the relationship.
Protecting West Wilson’s relationship
Wilson responded to Miller’s criticism during the show’s June 16 Aftermath special, defending her connection with Batula as genuine rather than vindictive. Speaking directly to Cook, Wilson described the basis of their relationship. “I can tell you that my relationship with Amanda is the first time I’ve come out of a steady three-year friendship where there’s nothing performative about it. There’s nothing trying to prove anything,” he said.Wilson detailed his vision for their future together, indicating serious long-term intentions. “I regret a lot of things, but the one thing I can’t regret is my feelings for Amanda and caring for her. I can’t apologize for it because it happened,” he said, insisting that the connection transcended the drama surrounding his revelation.
