On Monday, the beloved band announced on Instagram that they will finally be back on their soil after a long hiatus for their homecoming show. They have announced that they will perform two shows at the famous Sydney Opera House. Hours before the announcement, the group cleared all posts on their account, surprising fans.They posted an official group photo of them along with the announcement and concert date. The caption read, “Sydney Opera House 8 & 10 August 2026 It’s been a while, but we’ll see you soon…Sign up to Gangofuths com For presale access from 9am AEST on Wednesday, 1st July. Tickets will go on sale from 9am on Friday 3rd July.The group last performed a few festival performances in Australia in early 2023. They last performed in Sydney in 2022 at the Enmore Theatre. Since then, the group has not performed live in Australia, making the performance at the Sydney Opera House even more special.Apart from this, they will also play a music festival in London in August, but few details about this were shared.

Gangs of Youth debuted in 2013 with their single, ‘Evangelists’ and have been fairly active in the music scene ever since. In 2015, the group found success with the release of their debut full-length album ‘The Positions’. In 2017, the band relocated from Australia to London.The group consists of songwriter and singer David Le’Upepe, drummer Donnie Borzestowski, guitarist and keyboardist Jung Kim, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Hobden. Max Dunn, one of the group’s original members, no longer works with them and instead works at an entertainment law firm. Other past members include Jozi Maloney and Sam O’Donnell.
