After bringing together the Defenders, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ sees another popular character from the Netflix era return to the franchise – Elodie Young as Elektra.Two seasons after the show embarked on its Disney+ journey, Elodie is back for Season 3 of the hit series with her dagger and a cool new outfit. The news comes after months of teasing by the actress, who has long hinted at Elektra’s big return.

Dressed in a red and black stealth suit, Elodie was seen on the film set, thus officially joining the cast, which also included Charlie Cox as Matthew Murdoch aka Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist.

According to images released by Getty Images, Yung was photographed showing off her moves with her character’s signature dual cyce. Set photos seem to confirm his return to the role since Netflix’s Marvel show ended. It remains to be seen whether she will play the villain in this new season or rekindle her doomed romance with Daredevil.The new season is also expected to see the return of Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, the deadly assassin.
Elektra is resurrected
However, questions remain as to how Elektra will re-enter the story, as her character seems to have met her end in ‘The Defenders’. His return comes at a time when the villainous organization The Hand is making waves to feature in an epic showdown with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. His return raises the question of whether he could make his MCU debut in the upcoming Spidey film.Since Hand’s fate will only be decided in July when the film is released, it remains unknown if the organization will factor into future episodes of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.Elodie’s Elektra has already risen from the dead three times. Besides that, another version of the character played by Jennifer Garner was also resurrected in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. Garner previously portrayed the character opposite Ben Affleck in 2003’s Daredevil and later headlined the standalone Elektra.
