Actor-politician Ravi Kishan has opened up about the struggles that defined the early years of his career, revealing that he spent 34 years facing rejection before finally gaining mainstream recognition. Speaking on the reality show Alliance, which he is attending with his daughter Riva Kishan, the actor recalled watching his contemporaries become stars while waiting for his chance.Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, Alliance recently premiered on Prime Video. In the first episode of the show, Ravi reflected on the hurdles he faced despite being fully trained and ready for the industry.
‘Everyone became a star, I was left behind’
Talking to his fellow contestants, Ravi said that he often wondered why success eluded him despite working hard to prepare himself as an actor.“Ese hi log pehle mujhe nakarte the. Star bante ja rahe 90s mey. I could see them… meri awaaz achi thi, main trained tha, ghudsawari, fight, urdu, hindi, sab kuch, theatre, dancer. puri tayari thi. I am well deke. reh gaya sab aag le jaye,” he said.He admits that while he believed his turn would finally come, he had no idea it would take more than three decades.“Unka time agaya to mera vi ayega. But me 34 years bad ayega ye na khasal tha,” he said.
‘People who rejected me later invited me on stage’
Ravi Kishan said that when success finally came, it changed his career completely.“I won all the best actor awards that year. I went through stages where people never invited me. They always rejected me. Nobody believed I would ever achieve anything,” he recalled.According to the actor, those moments marked a full-circle journey after years of perseverance and self-confidence.
