Salman Khan.Siddharth while talking to Kanan says, Sadia Aishwarya Sette has never let his personal struggles affect his work, describing him as fully prepared and deeply committed to his craft.Aishwarya and Salman Sanjay fell in love while shooting for Leela Bhansali’s blockbuster Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and soon became one of the most talked about couples in Bollywood, with marriage speculations rife. However, in 2002, Aishwarya confirmed that the relationship was over, with Salman saying that it was difficult to come to terms with the breakup. The controversy escalated in 2003 when actor Vivek Oberoi, who was briefly linked to Aishwarya, held a much-publicized press conference claiming that Salman had threatened him over the phone. Aishwarya later married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007, Salman Khan remained single.
‘She hides it really well’
Asked if she could sense Aishwarya’s emotional turmoil on the sets of Sound, Sadia said she had never seen it reflected in the actor’s work.“Actually, I haven’t had a single scene with Aishwarya, so I’ve never been that close to what she’s doing. I don’t know her personally at all,” he said.However, he added that from what he has seen, Aishwarya has maintained remarkable composure.“But everything I observed, he really hid it. He was always fully prepared, knew all his lines, read the script thoroughly and acted with complete professionalism. I don’t think he let his personal life affect his work.”
‘He was very professional’
Sadia praised Aishwarya’s preparation and dedication towards her character.“He read the script a couple of times and would discuss how a scene should be played and the psychology of his character. I was very excited to meet him for the first time,” he recalls.Recalling her first impression of the actor, Sadia said, “I still remember seeing him standing there in jeans and a shirt and thinking, ‘He’s really cute.’ It was a beautiful experience.”He added that Aishwarya looked “amazing” in Shabad and credited cinematographer Asim Bajaj for capturing her beautifully on screen.

Sadia, who also shared screen space with Sanjay Dutt in Shabad, recalled an interesting behind-the-scenes moment with their first scene.“My first scene with Sanjay Dutt was in the kitchen. Before the shot, I asked him, ‘Shall we do a line?’ Leena Yadav came to me and said, ‘You do your own line. He is not comfortable rehearsing.’He admits that he was surprised at first but soon realized that every actor’s work style is different.“It’s the first time I’ve heard that. Some actors don’t open up easily to other actors. Maybe that’s how they work. I’m also a very private person. It takes me time to trust people, but once I’m on set, it’s my job. Some actors already know how they want to act and you want to focus on your preparation. The scene worked well in the end.”When asked about reports that Sanjay sometimes uses cue cards for his dialogues, Sadia said, “Not in the scenes I did with him. It certainly didn’t happen to me. Could it happen otherwise? I don’t know.”
