Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ continues to perform consistently despite facing fresh competition from Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’. More than three weeks after its theatrical release, the sports drama is still attracting audiences and adding to its overall collection. According to Saknilk, the film grossed Rs 93 lakh in India on its 23rd day. The latest figure represents a growth of 20.8% from the Rs 77 lakh collected on day 22.
India’s collection is close to Rs 240 crore
23rd day gross from 1,399 shows across the country. With the latest addition, Peddi has now collected Rs 238.30 crore in India.Its India total collection also reached Rs 281.85 crore. The film has already crossed Rs 193.55 crore in the first week. It added another Rs 34.45 crore in the second week and Rs 9.37 crore in the third week.
The worldwide total has risen to Rs 334.75 crore
The overseas market also contributed steadily to the overall performance of the film. ‘Pedi’ has now collected Rs 52.90 crore internationally. The film grossed Rs 334.75 crore worldwide.On day 23, the Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 22.83%. It recorded 17.70% occupancy during the morning show, 27.10% in the afternoon, 18.90% in the evening and 23.60% in the night show.The state wise total collection for 23 days stands at Rs 1.05 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the largest contributors with Rs 1 crore. Karnataka added Rs 3 lakh and Rest of India contributed Rs 2 lakh.
‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ recorded a strong second Friday
Even as ‘Peddi’ continues its run, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ enjoyed a stellar second Friday at the box office.According to Saknilk, the film collected Rs 4.65 crore nett in India on its 8th day. This represents a 75.5% jump compared to the Rs 2.65 crore earned on Day 7.The strong growth took the film’s total Indian net collection to Rs 40.50 crore. After eight days in theatres, its India total reached Rs 46.83 crore.‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ continues to earn from the international market as well. The film added Rs 35 lakhs overseas on its 8th day.Its overseas gross has now reached Rs 18.30 crore.
