Featuring an ensemble cast in the lead Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, YashSunny Deol and Ravi DubeyThe film has emerged as one of the most anticipated releases of 2026 Now, the makers are reviving plans for a grand overseas premiere which was shelved earlier.As told by News18, reports suggest that talks surrounding an international launch event have resumed, with Dubai once again emerging as the preferred destination for the film’s grand unveiling.

Dubai Premiere Back to the card

The production team led by director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra is said to be actively exploring the possibility of hosting a grand premiere in the UAE. Earlier this year, the proposal was reportedly shelved due to geopolitical tensions across West Asia.However, with the situation believed to have stabilized following recent diplomatic developments between the US and Iran, the makers have resumed talks about taking ‘Ramayan’ to Dubai for a spectacular launch.Internally, the event is being referred to as the “Desert Premiere”, with October 28th currently being considered as the tentative date.

Location scouting for ‘Ramayan’ is already underway

Preparations for the proposed event have reportedly begun with multiple venues being evaluated across Dubai for the high-profile premiere.If the plan materializes, the event is expected to bring together the film’s lead cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, who may join the celebrations alongside the filmmakers.A source told Mid-Day, “In April, the idea was shelved as the timing didn’t feel right. Now that the situation has eased up enough, the team is exploring the possibility of taking ‘Ramayan’ to Dubai again. The city has always been the preferred choice due to its capacity to stage large-scale events and the Indian diaspora.”

A star-studded retelling of the epic

Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’ boasts one of the largest ensembles ever assembled for an Indian film. Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita. Kannada superstar Yash plays the role of Ravana and Sunny Deol will be seen as Lord Hanuman. Ravi Dubey is also part of the much awaited mythological drama in a pivotal role.Ever since the project was announced, every update, from casting announcements and behind-the-scenes to production milestones, has generated tremendous excitement among the audience.Backed by Namit Malhotra, ‘Ramayana’ has been mounted on a massive scale and will hit the theaters during Diwali 2026. If the report in Dubai goes ahead as planned, it could be the biggest international premiere ever for an Indian film.
