Reports have been doing the rounds for a while that Rajkumar Hirani is making a film based on the life of an athlete with Ranbir Kapoor. Some reports have even suggested that the project has been pushed to 2027 due to scheduling conflicts and an unfinished script. But now the director has put those rumors to rest.Talking to News18, Rajkumar Hirani said, “No, I am not doing anything with Ranveer right now. But I want to work with him again. I have read reports that we are doing a film. Many times, I have seen newspapers and come to know about the films that I am doing, which makes me wonder ki ab yeh kahans se ayala!” (Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor earlier worked together in actor Sanjay Dutt’s acclaimed biopic ‘Sanju’.

Fans of Rajkumar Hirani’s most beloved franchise will be happy to know that both ‘3 Idiots’ sequel and ‘Munna Bhai 3’ are indeed in development. However, the filmmaker clarified that their release time frame completely depends on when the scripts are ready.He said, “Right now everything is in the writing stage. There will be two films. But everything depends on when the script will be ready.”
