Honda Cars India has once again been spotted testing an electric SUV. A camouflaged prototype based on the Honda 0 Alpha concept was spotted in Manali recently, revealing the cabin in more detail than before. The latest spy shots reveal a large landscape-oriented infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster.
In the spy shots, the interior of the SUV is visible from the driver’s window. A few interior highlights include a large stand-alone infotainment touchscreen in the center of the dashboard and a fully digital instrument cluster located behind the steering wheel. The touchscreen is expected to feature Honda’s new UI, and other expected features include wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car features, navigation and EV-specific features. Physical buttons for climate control and other functions can also be seen below. The steering wheel has a new multifunction design, while the dashboard adopts the minimalist style seen on Honda’s global 0 Series models.The Honda Alpha 0 was first shown at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Honda calls the Honda 0 Alpha concept “Thin, Light and Wise”, and this philosophy is clearly reflected in its styling. The SUV has a wide, upright stance, while the sharply angled front and vertical rear windows stand out as key design highlights. The window line sweeps upwards towards the rear, joined by a thick C-pillar that hints at its MPV-like proportions, capped by a subtle roof spoiler.
Design-wise, the smooth fascia at the front features an integrated charging port neatly framed by an illuminated Honda emblem and bright headlight units. A bold lower bumper flows into the muscular body cladding along the sides, where aero-style 19-inch, five-spoke alloys fill the flared wheel arches. At the rear, a wide U-shaped LED light bar surrounds the vertical glass area, while a thick faux skid plate on the bumper completes the rugged yet futuristic appeal.Both the front and back have large, screen-like compartments that combine various functional elements. At the front, traditionally separate components – the headlights, the illuminated Honda badge and the charging port – are neatly integrated within the display area. The rear continues this theme with a distinctive U-shaped lighting signature that integrates the tail, reverse and turn signal lamps.
