Priyanka Choprawho is in the midst of shooting for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baranasi’ and preparing to start work on his next, has created waves with his candid talks on his journey in Hollywood.The actress, who was a speaker at the Cannes Lions panel, sat down for a chat, where she talked about her ambitions to make it big in Hollywood and her desire to make her own opportunities.

Speaking to People, Chopra said, “I always want to be authentic to myself in everything I do, but holding people’s attention is a really tough task, and you can do that only through evolution,” Chopra said.Addressing his hits and misses along the way, he said, “I can make mistakes, I’m human, I can’t do everything right. [When I started my career]I was constantly striving for perfection. But over time, I realized that emotional connection [to fans] From, ‘I was wrong’… And I think that’s okay. That emotional connection with your audience comes from being able to accept that I’m doing my best.”

Chopra also admits that rejection has often fueled her determination to make it big in the film industry. “I’m very ambitious, and if I don’t say it, I want to do it more,” he said. “I’ve heard this from a lot of female colleagues: When you want to get ahead, and there’s a glass ceiling that’s set for most women in entertainment, you have to do it yourself,” she added.

Priyanka also shared her reasons for venturing into production and playing lead roles in films she supports. He said, “When I came to America, I wanted more work that took me as a lead, that allowed me to do parts that I don’t think many studios would imagine an Indian actor doing. So I started making my own movies.”The actress also reflected on her own struggles and shared her motivation for starting a production house. He revealed, “When I came to the film industry, I didn’t know anyone… When new people come to film and TV, that’s my sweet spot. I want to be a shoulder for entertainers and producers as a production house, because I have created a platform and I know how difficult it is.”

After wrapping up ‘Baranasi’, Priyanka will shift her focus to her next production ‘Reset’ which will see her playing opposite lead. Orlando Bloom. Touted to be a survival thriller, the film is slated to go on floors in August.
