Veteran singer and actress Ila Arun The legend extended his support to the playback singer Alka Yagnik After her recent Padma Bhushan honor and health concerns, comments questioning her singing ability went viral.Taking to her social media account on Thursday, Ila penned an emotional note for Alla, expressing disappointment over the comments made about the famous playback singer.In her post, Ila wrote, ‘For those doubting Alka Yagnik ji, I see comments that she “can’t sing anymore” after being honored with Padma Bhushan. This is disappointing. For any artist, singer, painter, actor, being told that you can’t do what you love is very painful. Art lives in the soul, not just the voice, hand or stage.”He added, “Alka ji gave India decades of magic. The whole country is proud of her Padma Bhushan, and rightly so. Let us not forget what she gave us. Miracles happen. Strength returns. And voices find their way. I have seen a video of the event with concern and want to reassure everyone that I am fine and progressing positively in my recovery. After a long and memorable day at the Padma facility, I was simply exhausted and requested a wheelchair on my way out.”He added, “Please don’t worry. I feel much better and am deeply grateful for the prayers and support that continue to strengthen me. My sincere thanks to Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs and Government of India for this extraordinary honour.”“Let us celebrate this joyous occasion together.
