Maruti Suzuki Dzire is now more expensive: CNG trims see the biggest increase

Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Dzire sedan in India, increasing most variants by up to Rs 7,500. The price update comes at a time when the Dzire, which has emerged as the country’s best-selling car in 2025 with sales of around 2.14 lakh, continues to enjoy strong demand.The entry-level Dzire is unaffected by the latest revision and continues to be priced at Rs 6.25 lakh ex-showroom. However, all other variants in the range have received a price hike.Among the variants, CNG variants witnessed the highest growth. The VXi CNG and ZXi CNG trims are now Rs 7,500 more. The VXi CNG, which was earlier available at Rs 8.03 lakh, is now priced at Rs 8.10 lakh ex-showroom. Similarly, the ZXi CNG variant is now priced at Rs 9.11 lakh from its previous ex-showroom price of Rs 9.03 lakh.The petrol VXi manual and AMT variants have received a price hike of Rs 5,000 each. After the revision, the VXi MT is priced at Rs 7.22 lakh, while the VXi AMT is now priced at Rs 7.67 lakh, both ex-showroom. A similar increase of Rs 5,000 has been applied to the ZXi MT and ZXi AMT variants. These versions are now available at Rs 8.22 lakh and Rs 8.67 lakh, ex-showroom. The top-end ZXi+ trim has also gone up by Rs 5,000. The ZXi+ MT is now priced at Rs 8.91 lakh, while the AMT variant is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh, ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine Specs

The Dzire continues with Maruti Suzuki’s three-cylinder petrol engine under the hood. The engine produces 80.46 bhp of power and 111.7 Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The same engine is also offered in a factory-fitted CNG version that produces 68.79bhp and 101.8Nm of torque.Efficiency remains one of the sedan’s strongest points. The petrol powered Dzire offers a claimed fuel economy of 24.79 kmpl while the CNG variant offers 33.73 kmpl.
