Priyanka Chopra has bagged some of the biggest films and web series in Hollywood right now, but the actress, in her latest chat, opened up about her ambitions.During a conversation at the Cannes Lions conference on Wednesday, Priyanka got candid about her burgeoning career in India and Hollywood. Reflecting on the current entertainment landscape, Chopra said, “What a great time to be an entertainer, to be in the entertainment business, because ideas are your currency.“

“I think if you have an idea, shoot it, put it on YouTube, and it can become ‘Obsession,’ which is just out there,” he told Variety, citing how the film industry has changed over the years. He further explained, “It was such a niche industry when I first started. If you want to get into film making, you have to understand what category you want to be in.”
Priyanka Chopra compared Indian career with Hollywood
The actress, who recently starred in streaming hits ‘Citadel’ and ‘Heads of State’, also discussed her desire to expand her English-language career and explore wider roles with bigger talent. Comparing her work in both industries, she said, “In my Hindi-language career, I’ve worked with all the best filmmakers and the best actors, I’ve told amazing stories and done a variety of things. Whereas in America, in Hollywood, in my English-language work, I haven’t really done that much.“Looking ahead, Chopra shares her thoughts on reinventing herself. He said his “next reinvention” was to “find out how, in (his) English-language work” he could “bring the kind of variety to my characters that I was able to do in India.”

The actress also shared her decision to launch a production company in the US, which was driven by her desire to support budding storytellers. “I started my production house to support new filmmakers, or filmmakers who have great ideas but don’t have the ability to open doors that I can open,” he says.

Admitting that her “life has changed tremendously,” she added, “Your priorities have really changed. I don’t just pack my bags and go for one more movie. I don’t do five movies a year.
