National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Center of Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Department of Atomic Energy, University of Mumbai have announced the results of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2026.Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam can now check their results and rank through the official website nestexam.in.To get NEST 2026 results, candidates must log in using their application number, date of birth (as mentioned on the admission ticket) and verification code.Previously, the authorities announced the final answer to NEST 2026 on June 17.
How to check NEST 2026 results
Candidates can download their scorecard by following the steps below:
- Please visit the official website: nestexam.in.
- Click on the link that displays “NEST 2026 Results – Check Your Merit Ranking”.
- Enter your application number, date of birth and verification code.
- Click the Submit button.
- Your results will appear on the screen.
- Download the scorecard and save it for future use.
- Print it for future reference.

NEST 2026 Exam detail
The NEST 2026 exam will be conducted in a computer-based format at 140 exam centers across the country from 2 to 5 pm on June 6.NEST is the entrance test for the five-year integrated Master of Science (MSc) program offered by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS.

There are a total of 261 seats available for NEST 2026 admissions.Seat distribution is as follows:
